Ok. Um...
Kotaku'scoverage of the MSNBC Article...

Newsweek reminds us that Left Behind: Eternal Forces, the Christian PC game that puts the hell in hellfire and damnation, is hitting later this year. The article describes the game as top shelf and GTA-violent, I kid you not.

Um... What {beat} The Fuck?

I can't imagiine a video game accurately portraying the history of Christianity that wouldn't be violent.

not the history. I read Left Behind for the hell of it. the premise is basically all the worthy people suddenly dissapear in the rapture, all the unworthy people are left behind ammid a pile-o-carnage left when all the worthy people driving heavy machinery suddenly aren't driving it anymore. You have one more chance to redeem yourself, then the universe ends with all the people who were "Left Behind" in heaven or hell.

Guess the violence makes sense then considering you're trying to make your way through a post apocolyptic world of potentially damned people.

Yes, I think that is pretty much outlined in the bible.

I guess the wordsmithing is a little tricky when religious history predicts the future. :)
