Hideous update:

Fainting goats were used (hopefully not anymore) in big herds of more valuable goats so that if they were attacked by predators, the fainting goats would be the victims!
Oh and yeah ...they don't faint, they fall to the ground in paroxyms of muscle spasm... from fear...

My coworker has some of these. She claims they faint just by getting excited. This apparently also makes the mating process quite a spectacle. Sort of the ultimate performance anxiety.
