Will someone please tell me how to mute the wavs that are being played inworld. I have been looking at the audio tab on preferences and not sure what each item affects. Ex. what is UI Volume? Also, was thinking maybe i could put the distance factor at the far left and it might help since the wav files seem to be related to proximity ... also would love to mute the typing sounds. But .... I want to retain the music. Is this possible? Seems like the wav file use by avatars is on the rise and its something that makes me nuts to hear. LOL, lots of questions here - but hope someone can help :)

System Volume: ?? I'm guessing this is the "master volume" control.
Wind volume: self-explanatory :)
The UI ("User Interface";) volume controls the beeps/bloops/bings/clicks.
The thresholds are how much either must change before a sound is played due to the change(s).
The doppler effect is just that (sound distortion by distance, if I remember correctly).
Distance factor: probably related to the above, and/or how far you can hear ambient/localised sounds
Rolloff factor: ??

I have to agree with you, though, the avatar sounds drive me nuts :>
