Hey its Christmas and we are supposed to be happy...

With every patch LL introduce more problems arise. SL can be offline for a while, bugs take a long time to be reolved and lag is abomnable.
In SL's TOS, they are not obligated to credit us for any outages. Interpretation - If the game is offline, unplayable, we pay the money and don't get to play.

I have bit my tongue, lip infact almost ate my mouth trying to not complain about SL each time a patch is released but this time im peshed!

Today I log on and get told I must dl a new version... I presume it's an updated 1.5.8 version. I now cannot TP, takes forever to rez prims or textures, my bandwidth bar (green thing) is FULL and I cannot move, the red bar beside it is FULL and account history takes litterally 5 mins to load.

I am sick of this. Each patch has tested my patience and this one has just pushed me that little bit further. I don't think I can be bothered with this for much longer. I am paying monthly for something that is more of an annoyance than it is fun.

A very unhappy customer

Make sure you're letting SL through your firewall (or turn it off).

Turn it off...???

Probably the single worst advice I have ever heard considering today's threat of viruses, network security threats, and personal identity/information theft.

Shame on you Mole.

You had never posted a truly stupid post before that I know of... you did this time.

What's wrong with turning off a firewall? Up until about a year ago, I ran completely without a firewall, and even now, the only reason I have one is to use NAT to hook four computers up to one cable modem. I've never had any trouble. If my cable modem is out, I'll run dialup without a firewall and without any problems.

There are certain benefits to running Win98, Linux, and MacOS X.

I never used to use a firewall either, until i got the SP2. Now i ALWAYS use it. I have noticed a significant improvment in my computer, eg, no service message popups, no adware installnig itself and when i run AV checkers, I do not have as many hidden virus'.

I have uninstalled and it works for about one logon to SL then the next time its back to the same old thing. I have played many online games and lag has always been a problem. It's something that is partially out of LL hands but SL has been the worst so far.

Perhaps it's because im living in Northern Ireland... are we served last? :P Shame on you... we built the Titanic!!! :p

I disagree. Not all of us use that windows thing with those viruses and security threats :P
