ever since the update the other day ive had real bad lag with the chat, and with the items, it worked fine beforehand,
pictures dont go clear and my cloths are very laggy.
its just all so laggy since the update.

what can i do to fix it?

Sometimes SL doesn't update well. Typically uninstalling SL from the control panel and reinstalling the full version of SL from the SL downloads page usually fixes a lot of problems with SL. Give it a try.
