Updates to updates.. really reduce my performance.

This happens to me nearly every time there is an update. I get a huge jump in preformance--the initial 1.9 (blah blah)-- I was even getting Framrates of up to 40. My usual framerates have been under 10 since 1.6 or so (except on the first day or so of an update).
.

Then.. as soon as an update to the update is realeased.. my performance drops and drops. Even rolling updates cause me to get worse and worse.

I do uninstall each time... but that does not seem to matter much.

ANyone else notice something like this?

Yeah, things were working too smoothly so the people at LL decided to throw a wrench in the works. But even with a few teeth missing on the gears things worked too well, so they loosened a few screws too. >;)
To answer your question seriously, yes with the last patch I've noticed my ping times have jumped from under 80 ms (both) to above 150 ms (also both) and sometimes even hang around 240. A subsequent latency in my ability to type, edit, rez, but oddly not move has been noticed as well.

I think we can expect to see major improvements in the coming month so you'll have to wait for it like I am and hope it'll smooth out.

I'm really afraid there will be new updates. Given the trends with updates, nothing will be better.

take a look at the number of issues for this last update...>120.

Seems like everything they improves spawns 3 new bugs...

The only way to fix this would be to revert back to v1.6. Back then you could fly and see where you were going...
