Why cant I move?

I have never had a problem in SL till now. With the log in problems for a couple days, and now I can get in, but whats the sense of getting in if i cant move, i cant talk, ... yay i can see things. I can edit things, which btw takes about a minute before the edit window comes up. if i touch my arrows to move, just touch them, about 2 minutes later i am in someone elses property, from one touch to my arrow key. of course i cant just like walk. this is very upsetting. I dont know what you did with this new update Lindens but i want the old one back, at least i could walk and talk when i got on. what is the sense of playing a game that you just have to stand where you are and not talk to anyone, and tp ... hahahaha thats a big laff.

Open the Ctrl-Shift-1 menu. What does it say under "Ping User" and "Ping Sim" in the "Basic" section?

Omg today im moving great, wow, i am so happy now. I was gonna do that control shift 1 thing, even though i have no idea what that is, so i logged on, and boom i went on real fast, and i was off and moving loll... ohhhh happy day

Time dilation : should be 1 (less ,it will go slow mo)

Pending Upload

If those show any then 0 , things are still being cached, and you will look at gray things
update days those will be skyhigh since everyone trying to cache everything again.

I got in yesterday morning, it was great, i played slingo and did some building, no problems at all. I decided to stay in SL while i had to go out, as not to have problems when i got back. My husband not realizing what i wanted to do, minimized SL and didnt tell me, right before we left, of course SL booted me for inactivity. Since than, i get on no problem I just cant move and cant talk. I see alll the objects right. This has me so upset. I can use my hubbys puter to come on, but why i got my own. I never had any problems with SL, cept for these log in problems and all of a sudden an upgrade and i am just frozen in place. this sucks

Are you connecting on a wireless network? Do you just disconnect when you attempt to log on using your own computer, or can you try to find out what your ping is the way I suggested above?

I have been having very simliar dificulties. I can talk and look around, change my appearance and use features such as find; but, I can not teleport, fly, or otherwise move. What is going on? This happens EVERY time I play. It will run well for about an hour or so (sometimes less) and then it will just DIE. The map will go red as well (if this is helpful to solving the problem). I have terrible lag sometimes when it's crowded which angers me because I am on a 100 MB connection.Please help so that I may enjoy my SL!

the ping sim and the ping user are exactly the same number its dropping it was on like 28,000 msec when i started and now its down to 10,590 and dropping
but they are both the same number

I am on dsl, not wireless, if that is what you were asking

now the ping sim and user are going back up up to 36,164 currently and climbing.

Ok i attached a pic of my screen but it is too small to read the info, if you could copy that and put it in Paint shop pro or a simular program and inlarge it you should be able to read it ok

that hair is awefull for client fps rendering, it contains a lot of toruses, wich make anyone crawl when they look at it drop that hair ! please try to find something that uses texture instead -.-

But that torus cluster wouldnt get ping that high tho, only fps drop, going to snoop around on that sim to see if i get the same lag as you are having, i rarly see anything this high

well i have pretty much the same lag as i do , so its not the sim, minimizing SL and having it minizied then back, usually get me maajor lag awhile, so i never do it anymore, not to sure why you have this really,,

Can you try to get a new screenshot, bring up ctrl-shift-2 , and take a new screen with that on ?

Thili ... I took my hair attachments and all my clothes and things attached off lol, that way its just my av lolol. this is the Control Shift 2 pic.

I also uninstalled SL and re downloaded it and re installed it.

Lol now that hubby went to work i will use his puter. He has no problems, I have only gotten problems since this last update. I am going through slingo withdrawal, i need to go on lol.

UpdateCull and Rendersynch i think hard to see,, do you know your system spec?, ram, cpu, vid drivers ect

I have been getting on real good now, my puter needed to be defragged although it said it didnt, i did a defrag anyway and have been able to get on since.

good, i was wondering how you got so much red on those bars, got to remember trying defrag if i get that , one of the reasons i only have windows/progs/sl and nothing else on my C: drive, faster to defrag, also my fastest drive.
