ever since i started in sl ive exceeded my download limit before sl me and my girl played world of war craft and guild wars never once going over our limit im just wondering if any one can shed some light on why all of a sudden since being intruduced to sl my download limit has gone through the roof cauase im sick of being shaped back to 64k

99.9% of what makes up games like WoW and GW resides on your hard drive, installed there from CD or the install file you downloaded. Because of this, very little is actually downloaded to your machine.
On the other hand, in SL, EVERYTHING is downloaded constantly, because it's always chaning as we (the residents) create and build things. It's a totally different type of world.
