but they all come with vista pre-installed... im planning on getting a nvidia video card. am i going to have trouble running sl? thankfully i have a full copy of xp, but id rather not have to go backwards. you know... has anyone had a perfect sl experience with vista and an nvidia card?

Vista and SL works togeather due to Nvidia's updated opengl, you shouldnt have to much issue, you could run into the famous "Video card drivers out of date" but thats about it.
Didnt mention what kinda of vid card it is tho, 6800, 7300, 7600, 7900, 7950, 8600, 8800, ?
So far i used gf6800,7900,7950,8800(320mb),8800(640mb) with Vista and SL, none of them had any issue really.

athlon5000+ dual core
2gb ram
geforce6150se
windows vista
and sl runs beautifully... better than ive ever seen it. with voice too!! (i couldnt get voice to run on my old pc)... i cant wait to upgrade the video card!
