Ghosted objects? And non-deleting issues.

I have recently had issues with objects not deleting on my own land.
I figured it's just an asset server problem as usual.
However this time it's acting quite different.

I have objects that I have attempted to delete. Some seem to delete while others take forever.
Others delete visually yet the bounding box data stays on the server. It allows me to walk over it even though it technically doesn't exist. (I can't select it in edit mode)

These "ghost objects" also add to my prim limits and are starting to stack up.

The objects are not scripted to be invisible either. Even if it was an invsi prim it should allow me to select it in edit mode. But I am unable to do this.
Selecting these objects in the edit menu should be possible no matter what.
Yet I, and other people, have tried and can not select them.

I have reloged and tried alt accounts as well. All show the same thing going on.

Anyone else having this issue? Or am I screwed till I finally get a linden on this problem.
lol If thats even possilbe anymore.
Any lindens care to help with this?
I can't see how it will be done since we are not able to select the items. My guess is that it might need to be done from the server directly?
I dunno. But I need help. These are starting to get in the way.
Thanks. :o

I tried to take back to my inventory a wall with vendors I had rezzed separately and linked all together... about 22 prims. It did not work. I relogged and it was not there anymore. It was not in my inventory either. Not too long after, I noticed that I could not pass through that part of my land... LOLz. So the prims became invisible... but some people to whom it happened as well told me that it was not counting in their prims on the land. I did not check how many prims I had prior to this so I cannot confirm.

And yes very often it takes me forever to delete or take back objects in the inventory etc. Even where there is NO lag... where I am the ONLY ONE on the sim.

See if giving it a few minutes, then teleport out of the region (completely out to a different region) and back to see if it gets rid of them. This is what I've been having to do most of the day after i accumulate a small pile of stuff.

u could try in the object tab to select all ur objects and see if something shows up around the area where u want to look, seen that it selects everything no matter the size if ur close enough (>10m)

Thanks for the help. You mean using ctrl-A right? It did not work. And it's under the water btw. I also tried to put prims next to it and select it just with left click and drag but it only selected the prims I could see.

we are having this ghost item issue in our sim as well, they are not anywhere to be seen or found nor can they be returned, we allready have a few empty parcels because people tried to return all objects and now cant build because of the ghostitems against there primcount.
any suggestions where to get help on this?

same thing happened to me in Huineng. Got 83 prims that are invisible, can't be selected, can't be returned. They are part of 2 objects that I took back to inventory, but they never made it to my inventory. tp out and back in made no difference. Along with "unable to rez object. Object is missing from database" bug, this is the drop that makes the bucket overflow. I'm getting out!

Which Linden (sic) has apparently noticed this and reported it on jira.

I'm not sure. But the previous ghost objects in my lab have now dissapeared. At least I don't run into them anymore when walking. Though my prim limits seem to have stayed the same.
Hopefully I just miscalculated the amount from the beginning.
Thanks to whoever fix it. :D

At least it is for now. lol :p

Lucky you!

Well I'm still having the same problem. I was thinking of buying another land next to mine... I'm not sure I will. So much problems, bugs and bugs... my friend can't use my teleporter, it takes him to another sim but it works perfect for me. He deleted his cache etc... anyway. I'm pissed.

Oh I've always had problems with teleports working differently for others. I never looked into why. I don't use them very much because of that. Even the ones I buy seem to screw up.

We had a similar situation over the weekend.. We had to restart the sim to get rid of the ghost prims.. Seems to be the only fix at this point...

I recently purchased a lot and there were 5 palm trees and a tree that was someone elses on the lot that I could not move. It said I had 62 prims on the land i.e. "Others Objects" . I Imed the previous owner and asked if they had left a skybox or something, They said "No". I told the previous owner to be warned that I was going to turn on Auto Return, and that if the prims were hers, they would be coming to her inventory. I turned the Auto Return on..the tree that was someone elses vanished, and I ended up with 5 palm Trees and a balloon that I had lost...I checked the prim count and it said that there were 56 prims on the land ..."Others Objects". I clicked the "Show" button.. "None Found". Then I clicked the "Return" button...window pops up, "These objects will be sent to the owner"....ok..good send them back... I look at prim count "Others Objects: 56 prims"
