Hi Firstly thank You for reading this I know theres more than one post about this type of issue but none of the fixes seem to have worked
specs
windows XP pro version 2002 SP2
amd sempron 2800+ a.60ghz
512 ram
nvidia geforce 5200
160gig scsi hd
via onboard sound
the problem
I log into SL no problem ... the world Rezz`s i can walk a little then blam total freeze . sometimes i can see my hair but furniture clothing even other people vanish .. my menus bars and buttons down the bottom all disapear ... then i have to close second life because nothings working . ive left it for a while and it hasnt resolved . i had second life working on this system before . and no issues . but this is a fresh install of windows . ive updated drivers to the max direct x graphics drivers etc ... the only new thing i can see is the new version of second life client ... please please please im so addicted i need help fixing this

This is a known issue. There's been a few people with the same problem. I've sent an email to tech support, apparently it's gone through to QA.
Weird thing is, my PC's got a 2 week old copy of XP and all the latest drivers too. Maybe there's something in these new drivers that SL doesn't like.

OMFG Im so BLonde .... turns out it WAS a driver issue ... my copy of win xp wasnt updating drivers correctly i had to go to nvidia website and download driver updates manually ... it fixed it works ... no problems anymore ... maybe this will work for others
