Computer lockups since update

Ever since the update to fix the exploit, my computer is locking up when i play sl. No problem with other applications. MB and cpu temperatures normal, resetted network hardware, checked video settings, did a defrag, lots of hard drive space, no hardware problems that I can see. I turned down video settings in sl, but still locking up. Had no problems until the last update. Any ideas?
