I heard complaints last night related to packet loss, and myself exhibited some strange behaviour which may be attributable to same.
While others started to complain of unusual amounts of packet loss, I glanced up at my own packet loss counter, which flickered from red to yellow and empty again as I moved around the sim.
I do not normally watch this counter, so could not tell you if this was normal for me.
However, I did notice a difference in script actions/performance last night...and while different, I can't prove what the problem is.
Two separate events I had problems with:
First: Changing clothes - I switched T-shirts. My inventory (worn) tags changed. My T-shirt did not. (Frustrating, as I'm trying to take pics of my T-Shirts for shop signage). I waited as much as a minute...still no change to the texture on my client.
So, I took the T-Shirt off completely. The texture flickered-changed to the 'new' texture, and then disappeared to my bare chest.
It appears as if the client never got the 'texture-change' event from the server.
Second: I was playing video poker, and having problems getting texture updates down to the client from the server.
When you click on a card, it 'keeps' it. I would click on a card, and the 'keep' texture wouldn't display...but the card would be marked for 'keep'. This happened several times.
It appeared that the script on the server would run, and the change would register on the server, but the client was not getting the texture change event fast enough, or was not getting it in a confirmed manner. This was evident when I would hit Draw, and the 'kept' card would stay, even though the little 'keep it' texture was not displayed on the card.
It FELT like the texture change event transmission has changed from tcp (confirmable transaction) to udp (drop transactions not received as unimportant).
If this is true (and not just an isolated incident), this bodes ill for all prim/texture-based games developed in Second Life. The client would not properly display the state of the prim as the server knew it.
I would like to hear if others are having this problem.

Other ways this might crop up.

Just to establish more 'likely' situations to watch for:
If you are playing Pizza, and your Pizza card is not updating when you select items to add to the Pizza.
If you are playing Bingo or Tringo or Slingo, and your card doesn't seem updated when you are playing, even though the card properly scores when you select the right items.
Clothes changes do not appear on your avatar, but others see that you've changed clothes.
If these have been happening to you (or increasingly happening to you), please post here.

Hmm The clothing thing sounds simmilar to a problem I am having yet again, only one set of my clothes will load attall, others come up with the pants missing a part thus apearing to be chaps, and the shirt, or any other top part, invisable, even if I only change one part, say I add a jacket, or change the shirt but not gloves and under shirt.. Or heck even if I change my pants...
THIS SHOWS TO EVRYONE I AM AROUND. also other's clothing has been loading oddly on my viewer...

Yes I have been having this problem as well with textures, though not as much with clothing as txtures on prims. As for clothing, you can usually go into appearance then exit and that will fix the problem. If that does not work, then "rebake textures" in the debug menu should (as previously stated).
