Anyone else in the UK having a problem?
I've got a 2MB connection, and I've set SL right down to only 200K, but I'm still running a full red packet bar 80% of the time.
It's a bit unusuable. Anyone else?

Yep same here, 2mb connection and it is always on full red in the packet loss, Have found its even worse after the update sometimes taking 5 mins for the sim, Buildings etc to load, I thought it was just my connection but if you guys are having probs too then maybe not..

Yes im the same, although its slightly better now, my isp has some maintance with the international transit provider level3 so it might be a common issue.

I use DSL (~ 450 Kbps thruput) and have not had an issue with Packet Loss until the past two client releases.
Now, all I need to do is move the avatar and Packet Loss goes to 100% until the movement is stopped. However, movement appears to continue, even through solid objects, until whatever the SL Client wants loaded gets loaded. THEN, the avatar magically jumps back to some former position between the start position and wherever it had flown to.
I've reset all sliders to MIN, cleared ALL of the Performance Options checkboxes, set Draw Distance to 64, Particle Count to 5, Outfit Composite to 5, Bumpiness Draw Distance to 1, etc. ... and still have VERY SLOW performance. In addition, my graphics card options are set to "Let program Decide".
My system is an Intel P4 3.06 GHz, 1 GB RDRAM, ATI Radeon 9700 Pro w/128 MB RAM.
Anyone have any ideas / suggestions?
Thanks!

I have that too, but packet loss only REALLY goes crazy under wine/SUSE Linux, and 100% is low. hehehe I have seen it MUCH higher. In windows, I have very little Packet Loss (red bar), but my av sometimes does go wandering off on its own... today, even simply by standing up from a Sit Script. I landed in Limbo - I could chat, but not be TPd, and after about a minuteI was kicked off SL. I had set my MTU from 1492 to 1464, that seemed to help. (Dr TCP) Relogging told me that the sim I had been on (Limbo, off world) was not available... I was not surprised
