Okay, I finally bought a new computer (mostly just so I could play SL) and I was so excited today when it arrived, I hooked it up, added SL.exe to the firewall list, downloaded SL & logged in - - All fine! Hooray! I started going through the orientation and was changing my AV's look when SL crashed - - My desktop appeared and the crash log did it's thing. So I logged in again - - This time I opened the menu to start changing my appearance and the crash occured again. So...I made sure that shadows were turned off, etc. Logged in again and this time it crashed almost instantly.
Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated. Ugh.

Please list your ENTIRE SYSTEM DESCRIPTION including YOUR GRAPHICS CARD.
Note: The Intel Extreme Graphics Chipset supports SL like a cockroach trying to support a Kenworth on it's back, it might work, but only for a few seconds.

make sure all your drivers are updated..............I too had this problem test out the video card for a new computer for my co-workewr using secondlife. it did not work. If you have problems still contact LL for a direct server line.
