Second Life 1.14.0 (1) Mar 30 2007 08:37:57 (wth - it is April 1 2007 I took this info a few hours ago and had to reconnect to internet before posting)
You are at 264361.5, 233652.9, 98.3 in Baekje located at (64.129.40.239:12035)
CPU: Not supported (3000 Mhz) Memory: 502 MB OS Version: Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (Build 2600) Graphics Card Vendor: Intel Graphics Card: Intel 915G OpenGL Version: 1.4.0 - Build 4.14.10.4543 LLMozLib Version: 1.1.0 (Mozilla GRE:1.8.0.10_0000000000) Packets Lost: 369/21742 (1.7%) - has gone down from yesterday's 30% packetloss. Viewer Digest: 52269e13-f0b3-12ae-a46d-b0560f6ced6e
Able to load up to 3400 items in inventory this time. 12:32 bumped offline again, line shows active on modem but once sl went down internet access died with it.
I have been able to deal with the issues this past year running with this grahpics card until 1.14 was released. I can still log in, move around the world ( in most cases ) show textures correctly but as soon as I touch my inventory I crash and it takes me offline.
I have been in touch with the dsl provider and my line tests fine.
I cannot seem to understand why this keeps happening. Is this my graphics card not being suitable that is part of the crashing problem? I know what the specs say on the page and that mine is not "supposed" to be compatible but like I mentioned I have run it this past year fine for the most part. I have not heard of anyone else losing net connection in any posts so any help or advice would be appreciated.

I just had a crash with the exact same video card in a Lifebook P1510D. It locked the computer up, I had to unplug the battery to shut it down. On the bright side this is the first version of SL that would even start up on this computer.

Here's your problem Graphics Card Vendor: Intel Graphics Card: Intel 915G Unfortunately, if your graphics card includes any of the following words, it's NOT compatible with Second Life: - nVidia cards that report as a RIVA TNT or TNT2
- ATI cards that report as RAGE or RAGE PRO
- ATI cards that report as RADEON 320M, 340M, 345M, or similar model numbers
- Intel
- Intel Extreme
- 3DFX
- RIVA
- TNT
- SiS
- S3
- S3TC
- Savage
- Twister
- Rage
- Kyro
- MILENNIA
- most cards by MATROX

From: Chocolata Oxberger I have not heard of anyone else losing net connection in any posts SL can easily take out a DSL network connection when it crashes. I don't know specifically why, but I've observed it many times. Cable broadband connections appear to be much more robust in this regard. This doesn't explain why SL is crashing for you, but it is common for SL to take out DSL in the process.

From: Thili Playfair Here's your problem Thili, I posted the exact same response to someone in the Linux client forum once, and a moderator admonished me for it. And again, when I suggested the compatibility list be changed from "NOT Compatible" to "Not Supported", I was corrected again. Just FYI, so you don't get caught off-guard like I was, when I only sought to help.

I don't know what is different between the two veiwers but I have gone back to the 1.13.3.2 client and all is normal again. I only log off when i close the viewer and can move around like nothing ever happened.
Thanks for the responses guys.
