Clicked on "Drop", item disappeared from inventory??

Newbie here, sorry for dumb question. I evidently bought a prim, a hairstyle, and kept trying to drag it onto myself, creating that "box" that slices through your body. In trying to get rid of that, I believe I right-clicked, then selected "drop". Well, now it is totally gone, no longer in inventory, nothing.

Have I lost the item? I paid $150L for it, hate to have lost my money on my learning curve here. I could not find where to contact the shop owner to ask them to send it to me again....

"Drop" on an attached object means "move it from being stuck to me, to being in the world on its own" - so the object might have been returned to you, try checking the Lost + Found folder in your inventory.

Yep, tried that. Found a nice girl in another hair place that told me to do that, but I had already teleported out of the other place. Went back just to see if it was floating around on the floor or something, no luck. And nothing in my Lost and Found folder, either.

I'm hoping to find out how to IM the owner of the store and ask if she can resend it to me or something.... how do I do that?

Sometimes it takes days for a missing object to re appear in your lost and found due to SL delays. You can also try emptying your cache in your preferences menu, under the network tab.
