I'm thinking of adding a 2nd 7600GT to my rig since my ASUS m/b supports SLI. Any pitfalls? I'm not doing it necessarily for SL but mostly for games like FEAR and Oblivion. Just wondering if there are any issues with SL and SLI. I assume you can disable SLI on a per-game basis?

SLI "works" ok for me in Sl, I had it set to alternate frame rendering 2. I'm back to 1 card right now while I upgrade my PC, and I dont really notice any difference.

I still have all my settings maxed out and its very smooth. I posted here somewhere a while back, it was something like 10% better for splitframe, 20% for alternate1 and a touch better yet on alternate 2..on my rigs anyways ( PentD 830 @ 3.5Ghz, 2Gb ram, 7800GTX's). My cpu is the bottleneck there, my Laptop w 1.83ghz Yonah and a single 7900GS eats it alive on most games.

I have a dual monitor setup but it runs from a single card. (nVidia GeForce FX 5500) ... I've found that SL doesnt play well with other programs in full screen mode. If you touch anything on the other monitor SL will instantly curl up in a ball and shrink to the taskbar... And lately It dosent come back from the taskbar everytime. (At least not in a way you can actually see anything.)
