I have just joined Second Life and my avtar has no appearance. I am in the third person view but all I can see is my name and my footprints. I cannot see any of my body and I cannot seem to alter the appearance. Can anyone help?

Thanks

You'll have to make sure that the character isn't debugged. press ctrl/shift/d and you'll get a new tool bar menu "Debug" Go into there and make sure that the debug > Character option isn't toggled. Click it to see.

One thing you can try is to go into Edit->Preference then ( I think from memory ) advanced graphics then Avatar vertex shader. Turn it off ( unchecked) and see if that helps.

Also, are you a member of any group? If so, change that group and that will usually push a reset. It just happened to me in the last version and changing my group fixed it. (Right click->Groups & select a different group. Possibly even "none";)

Good luck!
