I just got a new Dual core motherboard and I don't have a new video card with the motherboard yet. So I'm wondering if the onboard video is able to run Second Life. Here is the website for the motherboard specs. http://www.tyan.com/products/html/tomcatk8e_g2nr_spec.htmlIt has a ATI® RAGE™ XL PCI graphics controller on it. So I'm wondering if I can still run Second Life with this. Note: I haven't installed the new motherboard yet, still using my old one.

Hi JC, according to system requirements, the Rage is specified as not supporting SL. Now, that doesn't necessarily mean it won't; merely they're not promising anything. However, my old ATI Radeon 7500 barely ran it causing my upgrading to the better 9550 so it's very questionable. Many here prefer the nVidia marque to ATI though. Your mobo has a PCIE graphics slot so I'd definitely entertain the idea of the nVidai 7600.

I think I might only end up affording a nvidia 7300 but that all depend on how much I get for this motherboard on craigslist. Ok thanks alot.
