Have you uninstalled SL completely and rebooted?

Bosmer -

Do you know what Video Card you have in your computer? You need to, so that you can go to that company's website and make sure you have the latest drivers.

And after following Catherine's advice about re-installing the software, make sure you have internet connectivity before you start the game - as there is a new update to download.

Good luck, take care,

I fixed my problem,thanks

what i ignorantly did was uninstall and reinstall, and that didn't work,I downloaded the update thinking that it would just naturally upgrade the current version of SL on my computer.

So I uninstalled SL again, and installed the newer version of sl 1-5-11 i believe.
Now i can make it to the log in screen, and i was actually able to play last night. Now its just freezes at the login screen LOL

Freeze?

Bosmer -

Is it still freezing when you try to play? If so, what's the error message you are getting?

When you uninstalled, did you manually delete the "SecondLife" folder from your "Application Data" folder on your hard-drive? Apparently the files there need to be removed in order to truly re-install the client from scratch.

Take care,
