Hi i'm new here and just logged on for the first time today.
I canoot edit my appearence because the option is greyed out under the edit menu. On Orientation island I cannot read the notecards either it comes up with an error message saying insufficient permissions.
I tried the live help function and some guy called ethen linden was trying to find out but the he disappeared.
Can anyone out there help or give me advice?

Wow, that's wild. It might be an issue with load on the servers. THere's over 16,000 people online right now, which is the current highwater-mark for their database servers. I would reccomend trying when the load is lighter.

i have the same problem at the moment ... try logging out and back in again ..helped once ... but then SL crashed and i'm back to the same position....
..must be server load as my profile was blank for ages too ...

my avatar is totally invisible aside from attachments.. edit appearance is greyed out. money and inventory is gone. any changes i make as far as removing attached items, is reversed when i relog..
ragh!!
