My store doesn't appear in Search "All"

I have a store named Inside Out Skins. When searching for "Skin" or "skins" it pulls up right away if I search in Places. When I search in "All" it does not show up. I have submitted a bug ticket to hopefull get this fixed, but have not heard anything back. Has anyone else had this issue?

Does your store get alot of traffic? I think they may crop the bottom off the list.

Well put it this way, this is where it gets weird. My old store (named the same thing) would pop up right away .... that store only had 100 traffic estimate. My new store had 700 yesterday. Try it for yourself. Search for skins. mine should be near the top in "all" and with the mature box selected. The actual Parcel name is "! Inside Out Skins" without the quotations, of course.

I don't understand whats going on with your problem then,you seem to have high enough traffic count to be on the list. Keep bug reporting it i guess.

The only other thing i can suggest is,to say the obvious.You have your new store set where you pay the 30L advertising thing in the about land box? lol I'm sure you do,i'm grasping at straws.

Well If you search in "places" rather than "all" it is at the very top of the list alphabetically. If you search in "All" it should alphabetically be 2nd or 3rd but it is nowhere to be found. The only way I can get it to show up in "All" is by putting out a Classified.

Has anyone else has search issues or has the Lindens addressed this?

I have had major search issues with my group (which also won't show up at all.) From the advice I have been getting from older players it seems tht the search facility in "find" is really quite screwed up.

No Lindens (other than Torley bravely tried to help out on my thread), have posted with any responses, (at least nothign factual) but it anecdotal evidence has it that the "find":

- cuts of the results after 100 entries
- the 100 entries it picks are entirely RANDOM

How's that for a system?

If you don't get selected in a find, it's likely you never will get selected, ever (apparently) and there is nothing they can or will do about it.

I don't believe in the 100 random pick reason because all of the folks listed are the same from what I can tell. Maybe its a grandfathered thing. Oldest come first? Also my old store (named the same thing) showed up at the very top of the list.

If I type in my name under "All" (Inside Out) it actually says "None Found" for a split second then it finally pulled up my store. Maybe its a SIM issue? for instance maybe some adds pull from other Sims faster and others time out?? Who knows. Either way, its BS to be able to pull it up in "Places" and not "All". Isn't places included in all? (yeah im a smartalec)

I know its only 30L a week but its kinda lame my store wont show up in find "ALL". I've tried changing the name, messing with the mature and other land options and same results. I am assuming it is a populating the businesses via ALL SEARCH function issue more than anything.

Please Lindens....help with this. Businesses count on it.

I am also grasping at straws but in the all tab, did you click the new mature content check button?

Try putting in a !, a ! plus a space, a ! plus two spaces, the word out, the phrase out skins, etc.

The results seem pretty odd to me.

When you do an All tab search you can get more than a hundred results.

Put is "the" in the All tab, for example, and it returns 1,227 results.

Put in "the" in the Groups tab and it returns one hundred results. Put in "of" and it returns one hundred results. I think the max 100 results for the Group tab search results is pretty certain, more than just anecdotal.

Ok People,

I found a work around to this, however it is a really bad work around. Let's say you have a 1024 parcel and it isnt showing up in find "All". Separate or Break off a 16m size chunk of the area wear you wouldn't mind people TPing in. Now you should have a small 16m by itself. Make sure you choose "none" as the catagory (store didnt work for me). Go ahead and enable the 30L a week advertising and test it. If it doesn't work, rejoin the land and try again. It will work eventually. If one piece of land doesn't work, try another. The big downfall is you probably will never have traffic on the parcel. The upside is you still have your original advertisement plus the new one so the more the merrier (kind of)

There is zero logic to this. It does seem very random. I noticed after testing that 16m would work most of the time where 32 wouldn't work most of the time. It seems like the larger the parcel, the less likely it will end up in the search function. I also can garauntee that it has nothing to do with the name. It has more to do with the 1st time you put the land up for advertisement Unchecking the 30L/ a week and rechecking does not work. You need to separate the land..... advertise it..... then rejoin. Who Knows why it is messed up like this. This is obviously a valid Bug the Linden team should look at because it has no sensible properties.

Do you just mean the standard Mature Button in the Find Window? When you say new, I'm not sure what you mean because I've alway seen it there. At least since July when I started.
