Because I was recommended by a Linden to change my graphics card from a Nvidia 5200 card, I bought an Asus N6600 card. Also added more memory and replaced my power. While graphics card gave me the option of using antialiasing, it made no other improvements whatsoever. Even increased cpu load, so now I'm in need of a super silent cpu fan
Since 1.8.3 came out, I've turned into Ruth (the default avi) more and more often and crashed. Now I see a pattern. Almost each time I cross a sim border (either by walking, flying or teleporting) or experience heavy lag (while in mouse look), I turn into Ruth. Every other time that happens, I crash. Was so bad now the only thing I can do safely in sl is to sit quietly in an empty sim. Is that how the SL experience is supposed to be? I doubt it!
I've looked here for solutions to problems, but everything I have tried have failed (using -noprobe -purge, downgrading Nvidia drivers to 81.9
. Will for sure neither upgrade to premium account or even rent a home when sl is so terrible unstable as now. I can ignore and laugh at most bugs - crashing now and then I can accept too. But not this.And yes, I have reported this bug.
