I have been playing SL for alittle over a week. I would like to change My avis first name.
Is there any way I can do that with out loss of friends list or items in my inventory?

There is currently no way to change first or last names, however Linden Labs are looking into the possibility. It might be a while though, if it ever comes.

If you have only been playing I week I recommend creating a new account. If you have no transfer objects it's not a good option, but it's about the only one.
