erm sis opengl video card, onboard?, try a start / run / dxdiag, to find more info about your vid card in the video tab there.

Kinda need more info, guessing its your vid card that give you grief since SL wont like anything but ati / nvidia's :>

My GF is having the same problem. Once she logs in she crashes within 5 minutes... usually as soon as she tries to move. Started happening ever since the last update. (doesn't affect me though, and we're running identical machines) She's uninstalled-reinstalled & i've checked her settings & everything is as it should be.

I've already emailed LL about it, but they haven't responded yet :(

btw, we both use nVidia GeForce4 MX

That looks like an intigated video card with that SiS OpenGL stat. Need that info Thili asked for to know for sure though. With that AMD 64 CPU and odd amount of memory it sounds like you either have a laptop or a HP desktop. Both of wich will likely have the intigrated video (video card on the motherboard) and if it does, SL likely won't work as those SiS video solutions are not up to the task of playing 3D intensive games like SL. The fact you have less than 512 memory hurts even more since the video memory is likely shared with system memory and you can probably use no more than 256, the rest tied up with video memory.

If your video is on the motherboard then SL doesn't offically support it, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Usually when it does, it isn't very good though.

Navy, she may need to completely uninstall all SL files and reload SL from the Downloads webpage. This cures a lot of problems with SL, you can also try clearing the cashe before you remove SL as this works sometimes.

Jilly Bean & I have nVidia integrated graphics and have been running just fine for nearly a year now. But since the last *optional* update she crashes within 5 minutes. (I'm still running just fine & our machines are identical)

That was a reply to the original poster. Navy, you likely have a Nortons or firewall issue.
