Hi

When trying to access itemss in inventory, I am getting a *lot* of errors such as 'Unable to create requested object - object is missing from the database'. This is notably applying to clothes and wearable prims that I've noticed so far, it's happening at a frequency of every few items I try. Sometimes a relog will make the object usable, sometimes waiting a few minutes before trying again will 'recover' it, but anyhow it's a real nuisance - what is going on ? Anyone having similar problems and/or know why its happening or maybe a workaround ?

Looks like an asset server hiccup. It happens frequently with me and gestures. I don't believe it is a problem on your end, however, you can try clearing your cache and relogging.

Objects now permanently lost !
05-16-2007 08:01
I thought I would update on this because the situation seems to have changed. Previously as I explained, I would get the 'Object is missing from database' error for clothes or other prim objects I tried to access from my inventory but given some time or a relog, I could usually *eventually* access the object in question.

In the last few weeks however it has become the case that this is no longer true ... no matter how many times I try to re-access, how many minutes, hours, days, even weeks I wait, or how many times I relog, the items appear to be *PERMANENTLY LOST*. I have even re-purchased critical items in some cases as this is affecting a large proportion of my inventory, basically just about anything not used fairly recently.

What is going on ? Has anyone else seen this, or can anyone offer any advice please ?

Hi,

I have the same problem in Leafminer, and its not only me.
Since last week i cant put objects out of inventory in my shop, "unable to load object" errors.
I see all other people grey.
Cant load notecards.

All people who i talk to in our store in Leafminer have the same problem.

I mailed support about it and ofcoarse i first got the standard "cut and paste"answer saying have you checked known issues, have you got the latest video drivers... bla bla..
Replied to them again that im not the only one who is experiencing it, but still waiting for an answer on that reply.

LL please fix the sim cause it is going to interfere with my business, i cant put new items in the store. Besides seeing grey people all the time makes me think im getting color blind.

Ah that looks like the problem I have now for 2 weeks. I have a lot items in my inventory that will not rez, everytime I try I get the error msg: "Unable to create requested object. Object is missing from database." and it's always the same items and restarting or cache clearing did nothing, looks like I just lost them permanenty and it's a lot and did cost a lot of Lindens if I need to buy it all again.

Hello Folks.

This is a known issue and a VERY serious one that Linden Labs has admitted to. See the transcript of the Technical Town Hall meeting. Also, there is a JIRA entry that encompasses all of the "intem missing from database" errors. The link to the entry is down in my sig. Click on the link, login using your game name and password Then vote for this issue.

I myself seem to be missing a LOT of my inventory and have had to rely on the graciousness of the original creators to replace the lost items.

Good luck and PLEASE vote for the issue below (SVC-114).

Rezzing problem

Hi....I too have this problem ongoing since I joined SL....right now I am thinking of quitting. I am unable to rez anything from inventory....even new items that I recently purchased to replace "lost" ones. I am missing houses, furniture. textures...things that put a crimp in my pocket book because I live in Australia...so there is that exchange rate......needless to say I am frustrated and upset. I want to rent out my property, but I cannot finish building on it due to inventory problems....I will probably just sell what is on there very cheaply!!!! If anyone comes up with any ideas on how to get my inventory working agin...please let me know.

I can only say what I did. Linden seams to give a s... about it, so I saw no other way then to contact the makers of the things I was missing to get them back. Kala Bijoux and Xcite excanged my not working objects to new ones, a lot where freebies so I got them new and a few things are not exchanged but still missing, but they are all under 200$L and I will not replace them with new ones from the same ppl maybe with things alike from elsewhere.

If I would have this problem again and again I would create a new acount and and give all things from my old one to the new. OK it would suck to get in the same groups, but nearly all I'm in are free. The owners of the few groups that you can't just join, know my troublels with the database already, so that would be np. The friends would be no real problem, just IM them and ask them for there friendship again from the new acount. OK that would be a lot work but better than always missing things again.

What I'm not getting, why has that anything to do with you living in Australia, I live in Europe and have np with exchange rates. If you use a CC you will probabli have to pay for exchange, but I used PayPal and they have nearly no exchange few, or just buy Linden Dollars somewhere else, that looks like a better way anyway.
