I was notifyed by the "Arcturus Stargate Network" in SL that this was the cause of my problems.

I have been unable to contact the new server dew to the old one is still in the sims DNS cache

This is more likely to be a problem with the DNS server you are using.

It may or may not be local to you, If it is, reboot your machine, if it's not, then you'll have to wait until your services provides records go stale and it gets new ones. (Varies depending on the setup)

You can always flush your local DNS cache in XP by going to Start > Run... and typing in: ipconfig /flushdns then hit OK.

Thank you Lindens for Flushing the DNS
I am the proud owner of a networked Stargate now

Ohh I knew it wasent my end dew to I had to go to a sim with a known functional gate to activate my account... the older sims are slow on flushing DNS automaticly
