Okay, I'm getting REALLY sick of this error. I've replaced everything in my system to make sure it's all 100% compatible with everything I can possibly make it compatible with, and SecondLife is the absolute only program that's crashing right now.

I recently upgraded to a more powerful system and tweaked it for stability without sacrificing speed and compatibility. Currently, I've had only a single problem, and it's really ticking me off. That problem is SecondLife. I paid for it, I expect it to work as it says. Here's the error I keep getting, and if anyone needs specs on my system, they're to follow:

SmartHeap Library

Out of memory. Please free some memory, then choose retry.

| Abort | | Retry | | Ignore |

This error is then followed by:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program Files\SecondLife\SecondLife.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

| OK |

System Specs:

Shuttle AB60N Motherboard (All drivers up-to-date)
Intel Pentium 4 2.4GHz (Prescott, 1MB L2 Cache @ 21ms, 2.4GHz 1:1 clock speed)
1GB Mushkin eXtreme PC2700 (333MHz, CL=2-2-2-6-12, 2x512MB, Dual-channel, 2.70v)
nVidia GeForceFX 5700LE (256MB, All drivers up-to-date)
Yamaha WaveForce 192XG (All drivers up-to-date)
Yamaha SW1000XG (All drivers up-to-date)
Microsoft Windows XP Professional, SP-2 (All patches except MediaPlayer 10 applied)
DirectX 9.0c Media Runtime Installed

Any help with this issue is greatly appreciated, as I'm 100% out of ideas. And I'm pretty computer-savy, so throw me some technical curve-balls if you want. I'll figure it out.

Note: Error1.bmp and Error2.bmp are reversed. Look at Error2.bmp first.

Are you happening to be getting your network connectivity with wireless at all?

That would be a negative, but I am using the on-board LAN. Wi-Fi is too slow. :p
