I believe a Linden Keeps F'ing up my profile! (Community Version)

For the last few months i've noticed my Picks on my profile keep getting deleted but i have backups to repost them with. I have my general FAQ's and Store locations listed in them. This Morning i logged in, my partner asked me if i deleted them and i said no. I checked and ALL of them were deleted except 1 store location. I need this investigated. I aim to find out who is doing this and put a stop to it.

I will not go silent about this. I will make sure whoever is doing this is exposed. What i ask of this post is can i please have a investigation done to see who is doing this? I will not rest until i find out. I know my profile is PG material because i wrote it! So that can't be why this is happening. I believe i am being assaulted... This is a very delicate matter to me and very important for my SL!

And before a linden asks me if someone has access to my account, NO nobody does. I've never given out my password and it's not easy to guess. This has been going on for almost 6 months. If someone had access to my account i would have known it by now.

Do you really think you are important enough for a Linden to change your picks? I would assume they have better things to do with their time than going about altering people's profiles. My guess is the profile was not fully loaded due to packet loss / network problems and cached (if profiles actually do get cached, I don't really know).

Yiffy? I agree that it's not right for someone to delete stuff in your profile - especially without so much as a note indicating why it was done! I do hope you find out what is going on here.

Is it possible that while the content of your deleted material was itself PG, you included links to furry FAQ's that were not? Technically that should be allowed, but it may be why some Linden would mess with your stuff. I haven't read your profile in detail for quite a while, so I can't say for sure what might have caused a problem.

My profile does that sometimes. I wait a while and then it all comes back. I always thought it might have something to do with database issues.

Anyway, that's not to say I know what's going on - is there evidence that something beyond database issues is happening?

I spoke with spike in world. hes going to do what he can. And how can any of you say that LL wouldnt do this? Who else would? I never gave my password out. And it definatly CAN'T be packet loss because my Mate saw my profile before i did and asked me why they were deleted. I'm not the only one who noticed it. Someone is going out of their way to assault me...

Honestly Ll is not sunshine and butterflies. You only see that from the good helpful lindens. Are the lindens who raised sim prices by 50% good lindens? How about the ones who closed the general forums? or the ones who think copybot is ok? You think any of them are good? if so don't bother talking to me about it.

Um yea.. Guys this is a serious matter so can you can the trolling? My profile is being edited without my consent, and i am not being issued warnings, or being told what is wrong by email or linden. I really do believe a linden is doing this though.

Personally, I don't think a Linden is editing your profile; I think you are being bit by some kind of bug.

Hey Yiffy, sorry this is happening. I have to agree with others that it is probably a bug. I don't think a Linden would risk his/her job just to mess with you (unless, of course, you think the culprit is Philip).

Must be a bug, my Profile had deleted Picks too, thought it was user error etc.

Yiffy, i agree also that it is not good if someone is intentionally messing with your profile, picks etc. And I do hope it gets squared away. I do however have to say that the above is a bit rash. First you have come straight out and accused the Lindens of having nothing better to do then randomly pick someone and mess with thier profile info. That seems a bit absurd really.

Also in response to your opinions on good Lindens vs bad Lindens... They have pretty much explained those items and i think they are good Lindens. This is not a troll post but just an opinion. The raising of prices on Sims was to compensate for the existing low price that was in place. They would be crazy not to try to make some money.. think about it. The company does not start making money to support the service, how long do you think the service will float? As far as the general forums being closed, i believe many have said that was due to the fact that so many went off on real tirades in there and the moderation could not keep up. Not sure that would make them a bad Linden.

As far as the copybot situation, well i think we have all hashed that one over and over again.. They have said the use of it in any malicious way is bannable. What more can people want?

Again, this is not a troll post or a fight post. Just want you to hopefully stop and think about the reasoning behind things before finger pointing. As far as you changing profile, I really doubt that the lindens are out to get you, but whoever or whatever is responsible should be held accountable.

Picks are being used for a purpose never intended. Originally they were meant as a sort of "public bookmark list" places, shops and whatnot that you approve of.

As such they are tangled inextribly with landmark code.

"where were you" when you made those picks? and has that land changed hands/names?

Each pick was a shop location where i have vendors setup. If picks delete themselves when that parcel disapears then i guess i'm out of business cuz i only had 1 left. These were parcels in furry sim markets. The other picks were created on my home parcel, which i replaced them thismorning after i found out.

I have had a similar experience with my profile changing. I swear I have corrected one mis-spelled word 3 or 4 times, only to find it back again days or weeks later. I think its a data base bug of some sort.
