Last night, I was in the Magenta sim, in a skybox at 500M up, working with three other avatars on a modeling photo-shoot for a new line of Sarongs I am about to release. I had four duplicate pose balls lined up in front of a backdrop, so we could model different colors of the same outfit as a group. On more than one occasion, I stepped onto a pose ball, and temporarily saw myself as being at a radically different position in the sim. It lasted about 10 seconds each time, then snapped back to where I should have been.
When this happened the first time, it looked like I was standing in the modeling pose-ball's pose, but was under water, just above the sea floor, and the coordinates at the top of the screen were 0,0,1. People in the skybox with me at the same time saw nothing unusual. They saw me as standing where the pose ball should have placed me.
The second time, my avatar seemed to be floating in mid air at extreme altitude. The coordinates at the top of the screen were something like 0,0,1001. (Not sure on the first two numbers, but the altitude was just over 1000.)
On another occasion, one of my models stepped onto a different pose ball, and I saw her in the correct pose, but rotated 60 degrees and moved away from me about a foot. A few second later, she snapped into the right position. She looked right to herself the whole time.
The pose balls are ones I have used for months, and which never acted flaky before this last update. Just the standard "POSE ME" modeling balls. The other models, using duplicates of the same pose ball, had no such issues.
None of us were using animation overriders. Just the pose balls for the shoot.

It's nothing with the balls, really... i've got that happen frequently no matter what i try to sit on any time there's severe lag. And since SL seems to be lagging like crazy for me since yesterday... guess might be not the only one experiencing it ^^;;

Hummmm. Well, we were experiencing some lag, but not a lot. After all, as I said, we were in a skybox at 500M up when this happened. And Magenta usually isn't all that laggy a sim. We were the only 4 avatars in the sim at the time, for most of that period.
Still... I suppose it might have been lag related...

Three days ago I was gliding in for a landing about the middle of a sim, stopped, page down - and glided smoothly across the sim, and the next three sims, winding up under ground beneath the seabed of a void sim - and STILL moving!
Main map and a double click TP back to where I had stopped, and there I was.
The odd bit is, the AV accompanying me saw nothing strange. To them I just stopped and landed, then stood still for a while for no apparent reason!
Asshat server? Or the new improved inter-sim communication system?

Doc, I've experienced that one for the last several releases... That's different, but still annoying. Dropping into mouselook and back out often stops the "Continue drifting on that vector forever" bug. It seems to be lag related, and usually happens when moving toward the edge of a sim.
