I cant load the game up and get on to the bit when it meshes everything together for example initialising quicktime, and when it sets it up, It keeps getting stuck on "connecting to region" its not letting me load up, what shall I do?

What are your computer specs, also what kind if connection do you have to the internet? |

I got a broadband, SL has worked before for me for some reason its just not working now.. my computer can definetly handle SL's capibilities. one computer works on it 1 doesnt hmm..

I have had this same problem for the past two days. I read a forum post from someone that they had the issue after they installed the preview grid client, so I uninstalled the preview grid client, the sl client, and re-installed and this fixed the problem for me yesterday.
This morning I tried to log in and I had the same problem again. Your post is the first time I've seen someone else having the same problem.
So what I did was I went into the C:\Documents and Settings\username\application data\second life\cache folder and I deleted everything out of it. I tried to log back in, and immediately it was working fine. I know that after the connecting to region section of the login process, it begins to precache, so this might be the issue. I wonder if it might be a bug since I haven't had this problem before.
