Hi, I had absolutel no problems with 1.5.* or the 1.6 beta. Both ran perfectly on my machine without any hitch. Now, the real release of 1.6 crashes within 4-5 minutes of play. Even more aggravating than a typical application crash, this thing crashes my whole computer. I have no problems with any other games, or anything for that matter. Perfect run in memtest, no cooling issues, nothing.. MSI KTV6 ATI Athlon XP 3000+ 1 GB Crucial PC3200 ATI All In Wonder 9600 128 MB Any ideas?  EDIT: Also I've been on the lowest graphics settings. Nothing is on, nothing at all. |

Have you uninstalled 1.6 and reinstalled yet? There may have been some issues with 1.5-era cache files on existing installs; since the 1.6 uninstaller totally removes all SL-related files, uninstalling and reinstalling may clear these out.

Didn't work. Still suffereing random system crashes due to SL. Everything else on my machine is stable. And no, shadows aren't on.. any other suggestions? :-/

Uninstall/Reinstall Quicktime
That seemed to help me out on crashes from video playing
