(rant) - I get two days off. I wake up gitty to log on to second life, I have some great ideas, but ...
The grid is down. Why is god punnishing me???????? What did I do to deserve this!!?!?!!?!!

The downtimes always seem to hit me this way too. If you find out what we did wrong to deserve this, let me know.

Because I needed company in my misery. This is the 2nd time during my 2-week vacation that I am denied my SL fix. The first time took more than 12 hours and a much anticipated date went to hell. This time it's more than 12 hours again. One full vacation day wasted. That's why.

I have only been here a week, and everytime I would like to play some in SL its went down. Strangely, that sort of thing doesn't bug me, but the length of time it stays down is uniquely LONG compared to other games I've played. Do they not feel its important to keep a real time game, in real time? lol And lack of support during a holiday...when a lot of people actually have time off to be in the game playing it! I have these visions of joe bob being called up on his cell phone while he's munching on some chips being told he needs to fix the problem and he's the new kid, who got the holiday duty and doesn't really know what the heck he's doing anyway.
Come on people, you're gettin people's money who are referring even more people to give you even more money...etc etc, invest it please. I think since I found out I like this, I'll try out some more sims type games and pick the one that I play, not just pay.

A typical SL day:

07.00: get up, shower - SL up
09.00: go to work - SL up
17.00: come home - SL goes down
19.00: eat - SL comes back up
20.00: sit down with a glass of wine and the PC - "Sorry, a few extra problems, still down"
00.00: go to bed - SL comes back up just in time for the American evening

Seriously though, it really doesnt bother me that LL wants to get the grid back up in time for the largest customer base and take it down when times are somewhat quiet...

...It's how long it takes past the original deadline that gets me ever so slightly annoyed.
