hmm the announcement says sl is up. but I keep getting the error message that sl is down. anyone else?

is the current download up to date? I was able to log in on another computer with the updater. The updater did not work on my main system. The only difference in the systems is one is agp and the other is pci cards.
I was not able to log in on my main system. I uninstalled and re installed. Stops at verifing protocol. then gives the status page error.
