Items and Images Missing From Database?

wth is this? i'm getting ims from customers that items they've purchased from me are doing it as well as my vendor posters suddenly showing the black and white "missing image." and now i'm trying to set up a new shop and a handful of my vendor posters won't even come out of inventory because they are "missing from the database."

um - what is all this? will they come back?

i do keep copies of everything in seperate folders but doesn't matter, because all copies are doing this.

help please

this is happening to me also a few avatar parts are missing from avatars
i have made, so far 5 parts a missing the item is still in my inventory but
when i try to rez or wear it i get data base errors:
'Clothing/body part is missing from database.'
'Unable to create requested object. Object is missing from database.'
and one texture so far on an object my wife bought.
im afraid to look for more.
so ive been moving these items in to a folder called "missing items"
and one of them has come back so that was good news im hoping
the others return. but this is bad if they get lost, we really need a way to
back up our stuff we pay for and put time in building them. or its not worth doing
to just lose it later.

live help is telling me its a problem all over world and that we need to file bug reports w/ the items that are missing so they can "try" to resolve it.

ya i think thats the one i sent a bug report on.
i was getting upset didnt know what to do so i sent a bug report
and i didnt think anything would happen.
cool to know but i cant go thru my whole inventory and see if it rez???!!!

This issue is currently under investigation.

If you encounter the problem, please report it to [email]support@secondlife.com[/email] giving as much detail as possible (time, name of object, object UUID if possible), and alert the Liaison on duty as well (check in "find" for people online with the surname Linden).

Several of my builds are gone to, i dont want to go trough every 7000 items to find whats broke really,, thats insane amount.

So far i found over 40 things missing, everything from prims, scripts, skins,

ah yay, im starting to get my things back now, tried the things that was broke and they work again, yay thank you

Glad to hear it. This issue should be resolved for all residents over the next couple of days at the latest. If anyone continues to have this problem, please report bug using the title "Missing from the database" and additionally IM Kona Linden.

Yes my entire avatar disappeared yestereday right in front of my face when i clicked on a dance animation it suddenly went back to newbie state as I was wearing it....the skin remained but when i click on my saved avatar ...it does nothing. So its not just the folder that is missing ..its the data itself about the folder. I do hope they can restore ....I would never be able to recreate this.

if you lost something give them the UUID , i never knew how to get that untill now and i been in SL nearly a year, i got some of my things back pretty fast cause of that

in inventory
Right click broken object
copy UUID top clipboard
file a report / what you are missing ,
name of object + the xxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxx (UUID)

*send* wait *

uh, I, uh, ... lost ... a few thousand lindens, honest... uh, could I have some more?

And wait and wait and wait.

I've had an item MIA for 5 days. The "said" item was supposedly returned to my Lost and Found folder according to an in game message but when I opened that folder nothing was there.

join the club, my " lost and found " folder doesnt even work

I have a suggestion for those that have lost avatars at least. Both my copys do not contain the original data of my created avatar. So copying items is useless with this problem. But if you go to Appearance and this will take some time, but copy down the numbers in all areas, Eyebrows, Torso ect if you do loose at least your avatar you can recreate it. I did NOT do that ...with the exception of eyebrows which I found i constantly needed to redo with the switching of Hair.
