ATI Mobility FireGL V5250, Vista Home Prem

Okay, so I just bought this new computer - a Thinkpad... it's C2D T7200 (2.0), 2 GB RAM, etc. etc., and the ATI Mobility FireGL V5250 (256 MB) card... I thought it'd work just fine for SL and now I'm running into all of these problems. I saw Lockhart's VistaSL, but I'm wondering if anyone with my configuration has had any luck - don't want to install anything on my brand new computer unless I know that it's going to work.

Any thoughts?

Good luck getting anything but VistaSL going on anything but an Nvidia card ATM if you are running Vista.

I spent 2 days trying everything, finally ended up pulling my two ATI 1950XT's out and putting in my old Nvidia 7600. SL works flawlessly on the Nvidia card, just crashed with ATI cards. Until ATI puts out better drivers with better openGL support I'm sticking with the nvidia card.

ATI Mobility FireGL < doesnt even have Ati~Vista supported drivers -.o
