Inworld movie maker

I used to be able to make movies using the in world movie feature but it hasn't worked for me in quite awhile. When I activate it, absolutely nothing happens. I used to get the dialog to set up the preferences but I don't even get that anymore. Last night I uninstalled/reinstalled SL thinking that might help, but still nothing. Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this to try and find the problem?

I know about FRAPS and how it is better and all, but there are times I would like to make movies using the SL version.
