SL has been so buggy! I mean I crash every 20 mins then have to relog cause I cant highlight cause the game decides to limit me on highlighting any text. Then I get this "Dispite our best efforts something unexpected has gone wrong" window. The Linden's way of giving you the finger and saying "haha you cant get in  " Anyone else expierencing this lately?

I am having the same problems. THIS STINKS AND STINKS BAD!!! They need to fix this and get us in faster and smoother.

The "can't highlight text" bug can be toggled by just pushing the Insert key in a text entry field. Just start typing chat text and hit it -- you can't do it unless you can actually enter text. That'll fix it.
Are you two both connecting from the same location? It's possible your crashing problems are router related. If not, what CPU, motherboard, video card, RAM and power supplies are you each running?

i am getting this too now
and it has nothing to do with my puter software or hardware
it is related to SL side
since i was able to get on earlier with same puter and same sl 1.6.4 just tonight it has been not working so well to not working at all for logging in

Same problem. Been trying for two hours and getting past Waiting for Response, then hangs at Contacting User Server with plop back to login screen. Message was Something has gone wrong and we can't connect you. I just now received the wrong Clock setting, similar to the other night. Going to try resetting clock to yesterday, as this worked last time. Frustrating to say the least.

Me too Sky, I have a brand new pc 3.7Ghz, 256mb vid card, 2gig ram, and as soon as I got 1.6.4 it all went to hell. They fix one thing and mess up something else

Same here. NEVER have I had the problems, EVER, that I have experienced in the last month or so. I am normally a very patient person, but this is just too much. I see absolutely NO improvements in the login process, in fact, it's getting worse.
This is ridiculous, just ridiculous.

Crashed several times today.... so went ahead...updated this evening.. and now.. worse... after "waiting to connect"............... for many minutes..........it fades back to login screen. Once when I did finally get passed that fade to login.............crashed within a half hour....

The resetting clock date to yesterday did not improve my login, so I returned it to correct date. Update: finally entered the world just this moment, so there is hope. May be just a case of continuing to retry, as frustating as that becomes. Best of luck to all who are still struggling.
