Is object ghosting on the fix list?

I was glad to see Philip emphasize yet again at theTown Hall that it's bug squishing time at LL, rather than feature enhancement time.

Object ghosting is one issue that I haven't seen mentioned a lot in forum complaints --- people just seem to shrug their shoulders and treat the bugged client behaviour as if it were "normal".

It's pretty extensive too: for example, at a recent advanced building class, the instructor's objects were regularly ghosting on us, and half the people in the class would have to relog every time that it happened. It totally destroyed continuity in the class.

If ghosting isn't currently on the bug fix list, please add it, LL!

Well, the total silence suggests that nobody knows if ghosting is on the fix list.

How about making public the items under consideration for fixing?

Nothing promised of course, just information to keep us from wasting more time on issues.

I don't follow the official bug-squishing efforts too closely (me programming nawlege deficient), so no help there. But I did read of a nice workaround to the ghosting of objects during classes, contests and other similar events. Objects are moved offstage before they're deleted. If they ghost, it's no big deal. That's a helpful tip (to all you event hosts out there) to utilize until they can fix the cache problem currently plaguing our client software that causes the ghosted objects.

I have it on good authority that ghosting is to be left as it is until after halloween.
