Trying (for the first time) to buy extra cash so I can pay my rent, I found that, well, it didn't work. I got the following message:

From: someone
We are unable to complete your request.
• Failed to bill your account. Please double check your account's payment settings.
• The system encountered an error while processing your order, please try again.

Uh?

I'm pretty sure my paypal settings are correct. But to be honest, I'm in uncharted territory here. Anyone have more experience with this sort of thing?

It's not just paypal...

For the last three nights when I have tried to buy I get the same thing using MasterCard... then randomly it just let's me. So annoying... can't figure out what is causing that error.

Very frustrated, would love answer to this as I know my account details are correct. When it happened to me the first time I thought, okay so maybe Mastercard is down... and tried to buy from paypal and got the same error.

I'm getting this error also. It's pretty frustrating. I want to pay and become a regular paying citizen but I'm totally lost. I signed up about a month ago but didn't supply any payment info at the time. Now I'm trying to pay and it seems I can't, but evidently something somewhere is recognizing my PayPal payment because my av now says that my payment info is on file. But my account on the website says it's Basic/Free. I can't buy Lindens and I can't figure out why, when I go back to go carefully through payment the steps, it keeps telling me there's a problem. I get the exact same error message as above. But I have no idea what the problem is or how to correct it.

I sent an email to billing support but I'm not sure what else to do.

I too have sent a mail to billing support and have got nothing in reply other than the oh-so-helpful automated message saying that they would respond in the space of a working day.

They have not.

This is starting to really bug me. I have a fortnight left to get this sorted before my rent is due and I'm bothered I may lose my land plot because of circumstances beyond my control.

It's appraently sorted.

I was checking one last time before I rang up, and found it worked. So presumably my petitions were noticed and acted on. But I never got any notification of this. Most annoying.
