Is there any option I can click, debug or non debug, to get the client or world to reset all my clothes, without logging on and logging off. I have a problem in that often, read almost always, when changing clothes my avatar won't update properly and has an item or many permanently attached to his body, in this case the items are not listed as worn.
Just today I encountered another bug whereby I simply can not get other clothes to show on my avatar when redressing, apart from the ones he was originally wearing. As you can imagine this makes shopping or changing clothes a complete nightmare, however here the clothes are not listed as worn.
Any thoughts or idea's, like a force update, reset all clothes to off etc, etc.
Take off all clothes or detach all does not usually work in the first case, they do in the second but I am still left only able to wear the clothes I originally had on, nothing else shows, it still lists as worn however. I have tried both these options from the edit and right click menu's. Additionally replacing clothes with other clothes has no effect in the second case.

Hi Maran, welcome to the forums. When your clothing does not match what inventory says is "worn", have you tried rebaking textures? That tells SL to redraw your character.
Look at the menu bar at the top of your screen where World, Tools etc. are. You should see a choice for "Client" as well -- if you don't, please turn it on by pressing ctrl-alt-D (on a PC).
Then pulldown the Client menu and choose Character, then at the bottom you will see "Rebake Textures". Hit it and after some seconds you will see your character blur, then sharpen. That's the rebaking, and it should now show all your clothing correctly.
The second problem, with not being able to replace clothes, is probably due to something else. The first thing to try for that is to clear your cache (Edit/Preferences/Network, check the "Clear Cache" checkbox and relog).

Thanks for taking the time to reply, I will try that if and when it happens again. I have tried clearing my cache on the first problem but not the second as I assumed them related, I will try attempt that too. Here was Linden Labs official reply for anyone with the same problem and wondering about the answer. From: Linden Lab
Greetings, this is Linden Lab.
Please hit CTRL+ALT+R key. If that doesn't fix your problem, Running a character test may help with this matter.
Please follow the instructions below:
*****IMPORTANT: This is WARNING: You may need to save extra backup copy of your current avatar appearance somewhere you can grab it later beforing doing this.
No items will be changed or lost by performing this command.
Step 1: Press CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+D to bring out Client and Server menu at the top of your menu bar. (if you already have those menu, please skip this step)
Step 2: Run a character test. What this does is that it will bring your Avatar to a default status. So you take it as a "RESET BUTTON' for your Avatar. (ENTIRE APPEARANCE including shape/skin/eyes/hair etc.) When your computer gets frozen, you would push the power button to restart. This is the same concept, it resets and restores your default Avatar
Client => Character => Character Tests, you can see this drop down menu that says Test Male and Test Female.
Step 3. Choose either Test Male or Test Female. After that, wear your inventory items back.
The thread should save someone the trouble of having to find this themselves.

This happened to me yesterday. After rebaking twice, it finally fixed itself.

Idk if its the same but I had a similar problem with prim hair/clothing. I'd click on it and there'd be no 'Wear' option. I had to reinstall SL, that fixed the problem. Hope this is helpful.
