I've a nVidia GForce4 MX 4000 (AGP, 128 Mb) with the lastest drivers installed, but
when I launch SL I can't see right the logon screen. After logon, the avatars and objects can't be distinguise ...
I didn't have problems with my old GForce2 MX (AGP, 32 Mb) ...

Any idea ?

the GF2mx is basicly the same as a GF4mx ... so you probally wont gain much, but the reason i bring that up is not to bash you, but point out that the GF 1- 4mx series cards isnt compatible with the newest drivers (honestly im amazed it didnt complain about it) and thats probally your problem

From personal experience, I've never had problems with Nvidia's unified driver set with any GeForce card from the 2 series up. I'd try uninstalling the driver fully, then reinstalling.

Thanks. I've tried to remove and reinstall the last ForceWare drivers, but I've the same result. Also I've tried with an older version, and the same. For uninstall, I've used the
option in Control Panel - Add/remove programs, can I remove anything more ?

With the new card I will have 128 Mb, instead the current 32 Mb. I wait that the
performace was a little better ;-)

I've tried again to uninstall the drivers, even using DriverCleaner Pro and after install an older unified driver version, but the problem is the same.

Any idea ?

My problem is solved. You can close this thread.

I've changed my nVidia 4000 by nVidia mx400.
Less memory, but works .... :-)
