I'm wondering if the AGP graphics card setting in the SL client shoud remain on for PCI-E graphics cards. The help bubble says to turn it off for PCI graphics cards, but I know that PCI-E is built on a lot of the concepts from AGP and is nothing like the old PCI standard.

"AGP graphics card" with a PCI Express graphics card... on or off?

mine is off when i use winxp , it drops my fps alooot, think it has something to do with nvidia's motherboard drivers for me, on windows vista its faster to have agp on

nvidia 6800gt
nvidia 7800gt

just toggle it and watch your fps (ctrl-shift-1)

Agreed use this method and see which works best, since 1.11 I noticed it has no difference in my FPS now if its on or off lol
