That is weird! To the best of my knowledge, Second Life has no .. evaluation period!

Perhaps it is something to do with Quicktime? Second Life uses Apple's Quicktime software to stream music "in-world."

Might be worth checking the health of your Quicktime install?

Dearly Darling,

Don't delete your account. Re-download the program. That happened to me once and it fixed the problem.

Ever Yours,

Mrs. Showdog Tiger

You can get quicktime here
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
(comes with alot of crap you dont need to,like crappy itunes that like to put itself in background -.- )
some have had some issues with thew newest and SL tho.

Hrms other things that can cause this , i have nooo idea never seen it,

registry (cant say theres much there)
my computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\secondlife
and some others here and there

SL Cache / windows temp

cache might hold some info beats me :>

ah im just rambling, if quicktime dont work for you i dont really have a clue how to fix this error >,<

Could try to make a new user on the computer, and log in on that , then try to launch SL , might be something connected to that user in registry that prevent you from logging on.

Creating a new user in windows
Control Panel > User Accounts , add one there, then, log off use that one, install SL , see if that work

^ that above one actually worked for me on some odd games and progs

Dearly Darling,

Let us know when you get on. I'm sure the Lindens have helped by now. I had my RL/SL husband contact one for you.

Ever Yours,

Mrs Showdog Tiger
