Edit typing speed slower when working on larger scripts

Any solution to what I'm experiencing now? It would seem that the larger the script I'm working on, the slower the editing typing speed.

I tried deleting all the text in the large script then the typing speed normalized.

I edited shorter scripts and typing speed was normal.

I created a new script and pasted the large script code. Typing speed slowed down again.

I have noticed the same thing. In fact it is so bad with my scripts (they tend to be very large) that I have resorted to editing them outside of SL and just pasting them in.
