I was standing in the sandbox, testing out a script(nothing harmful or against the rules that i know of, just some floating balls and carrots), when i got a message saying that an admin had logged me off.

now when i try to connect, i get a vague error message: "Despite our best efforts, something has gone wrong, check the forums, etc".

anybody have any ideas why a) i got logged off, or b) why i can't get back on? i'm clueless here, since i wasn't doing anything wrong.

It wasn't you, and perhaps you should scan the forums before posting. Several others have reported the same thing.

and I got the 'nice' message too - an administrator logged you off......

I would expect AT LEAST a 1 or 2 minute warning that SL will be closed, just get kicked out is extremely annoying.

So I lost now all the changes in my script I worked on, no chance to save it before SL is closed again - please Lindens think before just kickin people out like this.
Now I can do my scripting again, and what I done right befor ebeing kicked is just wasted time.

That's no way - you need to give a warning to make ppl able at least to save their work before gettzing the admin's kick in their butts....

If it was assett server again the no warning might have happened to avoid more data loss than had already occurred. Not saying that IS what happened just that it would make sense.

Ok the getting kicked out is annoying but if they had warned us it would at least have been polite. If they need to take the grid down to do matinence, fine I get that. Let us know when so we can plan accordingly. Even if its just a two or one minute notice its better than nothing.
