I was able to get on earlier in the the night, now I almost get "Login Failed" immediatly, then can't even try for awhile after that. Are we getting credits for all this down time today? I have some land I'm supposed to sell, and my sim was supposed to be put up today.

Moved to Technical Issues. Sorry Charlie, SL Answerswasn't the right place... I hope you'll be able to get help. The grid is up and healthy--can you please provide more details?

I have not been able to log in either and have been trying on and off for over 6 hours. I have uninstalled 4 times now. I get a message that says "Unable to connect to second life. Despite our best efforts, something unexpected has gone wrong". I have done all the trouble shooting tips on the Techloginissues page. I did send an email; to support, but they are already closed for the day. :(

Dorra, quick question... did you also disable all Internet security software... like firewalls, all of that kinda stuff?

That error is commonly associated with something else getting in the way and blocking SL from connecting through.

Torey I was able to login between 6-7:30. I logged off, then tried to login again then posted this message. It's now 7:41am and I still can't login. I get the same "Login Failed" message immediatly. Doesn't make a difference if internet security is on or off. I tried both ways, and like I said it was working earlier in the night.

So I called the concierge, my account was in a wierd state. I logged out, and tried to log back in, and my account is in the same state again. What gives?

ok... almost 24 hours since I updated and tried to log in. I made it! I had to disconnect my router. Not sure if I can hook it back up yet (I hope so cause I need it), but at least I am in. The router I am using is a Linksys compact wireless-g broadband router model #WRT54GC

It looks like there are some really wonky problems right now with status indication, where you're not properly recognized as being offline. The system still thinks you're inworld, so you can't get back in. You may have seen a message like this:
Login failed.
You are currently logging in or out right now.
Please try again in a few minutes.

I'll lookup each of your names and ask the gridmonkey about any discrepancies, so it can hopefully be cleared up soon.

Sorry for the inconvenience and hope you are able to log back into SL. :)
