WTF? Getting all inputs displayed twice in chat/IM

Somehow my system is messing up a bit - after initially not being able to run SL at all (until I deactivated the second core in the process), this now works - but all inputs I do are transmitted twice in the chat and IM ... I tried both the regular and the Windlight client ...

Any idea what's going on???

P.S. - many other things are duplicated, too, like friend invitations, search results, buy-operations, etc ...

Edit: Confirmed, on wired LAN this doesn't occur ... !?
Edit 2: The WLAN at work doesn't appear to cause that problem ... no duplicate messages etc.
Edit 3: Switched my WLAN AP, the double msgs seem to be fixed with it ...
