Dedicate CPU to Secondlife client - How?

I read somewhere that a multi-cpu computer may seriously impact the performance and stability of the SL client.. I have numerous crashes per hour, and it's getting to me..

I can open the Windows task manager to dedicate cpu 3 or 4 to SL, but most often I forget to do so.

Is there a way to automate that dedication process? Currently I use Windows XP Pro, on my way to fully run Vista as soon as SL will run on it. So, the current solution would be used on XP.

Thanks for your ideas!

Google for procaff which is what I use.

There is a dedicated program for SL though which may be easier to use - http://www.kittenlulu.com/?page_id=412

I think the multi-processor problems were fixed a few months ago - I have no problems running without setting the affinity..
